Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2013

Hace poco que terminó el Pro France y ya tenemos aquí nuevo evento.

Segunda parada del circuito en Europa, esta vez le llega el turno al Rip Curl Pro Portugal 2013. Este campeonato se celebra en Peniche, en la famosa playa de Supertubos.
Como bien indica su nombre, este beachbreak se caracteriza por la forma tubular de sus olas. Fondos muy buenos y que aguantan tamaño, se verán buenas tapadas.

Ya tiraron la primera ronda el primer día de competición, buenas olas y alguna sorpresa. Los 2 surfers que llegan con opciones a ser campeones del mundo, Mick Fanning y Kelly Slater, cayeron en primera ronda y tendrán que jugársela en segunda para seguir en la competición.

Parece ser que la segunda ronda no se podrá hacer hasta el lunes, que llega un buen swell. La cosa estará parada hasta la semana que viene.
Una vez más que quiero acercarme a una prueba y una vez más que no dan olas en las fechas en las que puedo ir, a esperar otro año...
